Mashaikh Uzzam Peace Press Conference
A peace press conference of Mashaikh Uzzam was held on 2nd August 2005 at Holiday inn Hotel in Islamabad under the chairmanship of His holiness Sufi Masood Ahmad Siddiqui Lasani Sarkar
Objectives of this press conference were to support some good steps taken by the President General Musharraf and to define the principal stand and reservations of Tanzeem Mashaikh Uzzam on different topics. All the members of the council of Tanzeem Mashaikh Uzzam participated and expressed their views. His holiness Sufi Masood Ahmad Siddiqui Lasani Sarkar was speaking to the electronic international and national media and different chief reporters and journalists of various news papers and TV channels and said that many steps had been taken by the President Musharraf were in favor of Pakistanand His holiness gave some important suggestions to the Government.
President should also consult from Mashaikhto get practical assistance to develop extensive and solid strategies.
In the current situation President needs spiritual and scientific minded people to help making effective policies at every stage.
Moderate scientific and spiritual minded people from different religions should be close to the President.
President should keep a close eye on the liberal and banned organizations and form some effective strategies and code of conduct to get positive changes and results.
Tanzeem Mashaikh Uzzam Pakistan can play an important role to resolve Kashmir problem and improve the Pak-India ties, extraordinary results can be achieved through setting up strategiesthrough consultation of the Mashaikh.
Moderate side of Islam should be presented to the whole world through scholars with spiritual and logical thoughts to remove allegations of terrorism.
Madaris (Religious Institutions) which are involved in negative activities for the banned organizations must be registered seriously and must also be monitored closely.
Hasbah Bill must be dealt strictly as millions of people in KPK province are frightened because of it.
Foreign students of the banned organizations who are involved in negative activities and hiding with fake nationalitieshave to be searched and investigated.
Joint declaration of conference:
In upcoming election millions of people related to Tanzeem Mashaikh Uzzam Pakistan will only vote for patriot, moderate righteous and pious candidates.
Respect of Mashaikh shrines and the restoration of their sanctity must be assured and Auqaf department should only appoint those people at these shrines who respect Awliya Allah (friends of Allah).
Increasing insecurity should be noticed among other religions and a comprehensive non-political strategy should be formed.
Spiritual and scientific minded Mashaikh should represent the government institutions and committees to establish real moderate society.
Awliya Allah (saints) arethe real representative of the people and we should get benefits from the teachings of mysticism and spirituality for the real peace and tobring all the world’s religions together to eliminate religious hatred among them, a committee should also be formed consisting of Moderate Sufis.
Dying social thinking and lifestyle should be presented on media in its original cultural values.
To restore the true identity of Mashaikhthere should be legislation against fake so called saintsand Muftis (religious scholars).
Sectarian and poisonous literature must be banned immediately to stop terrorism and killing of innocent people in the name of Islam.
